Tom has spent more than forty years investigating and fighting high tech crimes, as well as 15 years as a Deputy Sheriff and 30 years in the military.

He’s currently the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for the new Social Media Platform focused on youth, young adult and adult sports.

In 2016 he was appointed to the Computer Crime and Digital Evidence Committee for the International Association of Chiefs of Police, a committee created to help strengthen law enforcement capabilities to prevent, investigate, and prosecute information-age crimes involving digital technologies and evidence.

Tom spent more than 20 years with the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), eventually becoming its international president. The HTCIA was created in 1986 by law enforcement and is the oldest association solely focused on high tech investigations.

Tom also spent many years with the REACT High Technology Crimes Task Force (FBI Task Force). REACT was established in 1997 by the State of California Department of Justice and is one of the five State of California High Tech Crimes Task Forces.

REACT was created in response to both public and industry concerns over the spread of a new type of crime directly tied to our increasingly computer-oriented economy and widespread use of the internet.

Tom devoted nearly 30 years of service in the military, in Active Duty, the California National Guard and US Army Reserves, and his final post was as Commander for the General Support Detachment of the 445th Civil Affairs Battalion.
