The Pillar of Exercise

It’s often said that when you work out your body, it’s your brain that gets the most benefit. And that’s partly because the brain needs things like oxygen and blood, both of which are better delivered through a healthy body.

Exercise is also great for mood, and for easing things like depression, anxiety, and stress. It releases endorphins, one of the key neurotransmitters in the brain.

It’s been shown to connect to things like optimism, motivation, and self-confidence, all of which release their own additional benefits.

If it’s in the fresh air, and with people or pets, that can trigger even more brain and mental health benefits.

And even better news. Certain types of exercise are known to help grow new brain to help compensate for brain cells we lose over time.
